About Nature & Forest Therapy
Forest therapy is a practice of spending time in nature to improve overall health and well-being. It originated as Shinrin-yoku (forest bathing) in Japan in the 1980s as a response to urbanization and the consequent lack of access to natural environments.
The practice involves immersing oneself in a forest or other natural environment and mindfully engaging with the surroundings through the senses. This may include activities such as walking, sitting, or simply observing the natural environment.
